A well-structured Medical Laboratory Quality Manual is essential for ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in a medical laboratory. This seminar-workshop provides participants with the knowledge and skills required to develop and implement a comprehensive Medical Laboratory Quality Manual in accordance with the requirements of Department of Health (DOH), international standards such as ISO 15189 and World Health Organization (WHO).
For this two (2)-day seminar-workshop, the participants coming from different Medical Laboratories will prepare their own quality manual as they learn the key components of a quality manual, including quality policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), document control, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement strategies. The course will also cover best practices for structuring, writing, and maintaining a quality manual to meet accreditation and regulatory expectations.
The seminar will include series of lectures from a seasoned assessor for ISO 15189 accreditation of the Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB). At the latter part of Day 1 of this activity, a written examination will be given to assess the learnings gained by the participants, and on Day 2, the output is that each grouped participant has prepared their own Laboratory Quality Manual.
